Author editions

L.A. Banks and Cassandra Clare.

L.A. Banks werewolf series is pretty good. Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel, trilogy, has got  me hooked on her Shadow Hunter world, and I'm going to start her other series, The Mortal Instruments, also about Shadow Hunters.

Underworld Awakening

This installment of the film series, wasn't as good as the previous two, that had the character Selene and Micheal in it, or even the Rise of the Lycans. It felt a little flat from these other films. The idea of humans discovering the Vampires and Lycans, was fine. The hybrid kid was fine. The idea was there but when it came to the script, something was missing in between. Perhaps not having Micheal involved, and not knowing about the kid, was a bad choice. Having the child taken from her parents, would have probably made a much more interesting story. Still it wasn't a good film, but not as great as it predecessors.

Sherlock Holmes : Game of Shadows

I did see the first Sherlock Holmes film and has been a fan of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries, since I was a kid. So when the first film came out, I saw it. It was pretty good but a bit long and slow at points, though Holmes and Watson obviously have chemistry. The critics were right, much better than the first. The second installment, was much better. Moved more smoothly and kept a nice pace between quieter and action scenes. Loved it and if they wanted to make more, go for it.
