This is the last book of The Mortal Instruments series. If you haven't read this series, I suggest starting with the Infernal Devices trilogy which is a prequel to this series because certain references will make more sense if you do.
The first book in The Infernal Devices is Clockwork Angel and City of Bones is the first of The Mortal Instruments.
This book was pretty good, a typical tale in this series, with a few twists and turns that weren't expected.
The epilogue was way too long, and a bit dull. Plus, to be honest, I wouldn't mind a story that wasn't a little too conveniently tied up with a bow at the end. After all, not all fairy tales ended in happily ever after.
But the story was good and does connect into the next trilogy.
